    Monday

Got up at 7am, only got about 5 hours sleep, now (at 11.50pm) I am very tired.

I got the kids to school, walked the dog, made my packed lunch, I was supposed to drive hubby to Colchester today, then we realised our daughter was coming home from school early today, so I told them at work that I wouldn't be in tomorrow, because I have to drive hubby to hospital, but before I do that we will go to Colchester first.

Not too bad today, mainly boxing up cake boards, you know, the sort with silver fern leaf on one side.

Went home at 2.30.  Hubby had made a big deal of clearing everything out of the bathroom, but hadn't actually done anything else.  He did mop the floor before he walked up to meet our son from school.  It just annoys me that he makes such a song and dance about what he has done during the day.  He is obviously waiting for me to say "thankyou darling", but why should I?  Nobody thanks me for what I do!

I went and played some FFX I decided to have a go at the ending of the game.  There are still lots of side quests for me to do, I just wanted to see the final FMV.  It was time consuming, but surprisingly easy.

We had some MacDonalds vouchers, so I drove over to Braintree with my daughter and we got some burgers and chips for our dinner.

It was the final of "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here"  so we all sat down to watch it together. Kerry won!! Yay, I wanted her to win.  She had been so scared of all the creepy crawlies and she overcame her fear.  That is what being brave really means.  Peter had to do a trial tonight that scared the shit out of him.  Spiders....he hated them, you could see his fear, but he did the challenge.

    I couldn't do it.

I'm feeling very tired, too many late nights, exisiting on 5 - 6 hours sleep, is begining to catch up with me.

Hubby is going to watch Colchester United tomorrow, so I will have some time to myself then. :)  (Feeling a little claustraphobic with him being here all the time.)

    Talk to Me!

    Baffled

It is Sunday night, or rather, the early hours of Monday morning.  I'm up late again.  My computer is doing something odd.  When I attempt a disk cleanup, the computer crashes as it trys to compress files.  I don't know enough about computers to be confident about resolving this.  I had a little look around the trouble shooters, but didn't find anything.  I did do a disk scan and repair thing, but it didn't look like it found anything wrong.  I'm baffled.

I was chatting with a friend, who dissapeared very suddenly, I tried to find out if everything was ok..but no response.  I'm baffled.

I got the laundry done today, spent too much time on the computer, but when hubby and daughter went out for the afternoon, I couldn't resist going on line.

Hubby needs me to drive him over to Colchester tomorrow afternoon, so I will have to leave work at 2pm.

So I guess I should go to bed.  I'm still baffled, I hope it wasn't something I said that made him log of like that....

    Saturday

I stayed up too late last night, I am used to hubby going to bed at an earlier time, and then I have my time alone, but, as he is sleeping in later, he is also going to bed later.  If I stay up later than him, I end up not going to bed until 2am.  I love having him home with me, but I do need time to myself.

So, yesterday, I took him into town and got him a couple of new shirts, one is blue with chinese symbols on it, that was one he liked most, and the other is black. Both are short sleeved.  The T-shirts were not in stock, but he liked the look of the picure so we will check back next week.

I took some parcels to the post office, I'm sending chocolate to friends in America, I tried some Hershey's chocolate when I went to New York, and it is the most disgusting chocolate I have ever tasted, (It tastes worse than the chocolate we give to dogs, here (hubby has tasted it *laughs*).  My friend Jeanne (California) was telling me she loves Hershey's so I told her I would send some good stuff.  I also sent Tim (North Carolina) some more chocolate, becasue he needs cheering up.  He is on a very low wage and has to move out from the home he shares with his mum, because she is going into a retirement place.  He is contemplating moving to Chicago.  It is a tough time for him.  I hope the chocolate makes him feel better.

After the post office, we walked down to the doctors surgery, and picked up the certificate.  The doctor wrote it out that hubby can return to work on 23rd Februaury.  So he will be home during half term, which means I will be free to go to work :( I was looking forward to having a week off with the children.  He said if I don't want to go, then don't, but it will be awkward, as they will know he is home for the kids.  I'll see, I might feel the need to get away to work that week.

I didn't go dancing last night, I didn't hear from my teacher, and I didn't want to risk a drive out in the dark if there was no lesson, but at this rate I will not be ready for the exams, which I believe are just before my birthday in March.

Today I got up at 9am, checked emails, got chatting, then downstairs comes hubby and made sarcastic comments about whether I had been in front of the computer all night, as that was where he had left me when he went to bed.  So I logged off.

But I'm back now, the kids have gone swimming, hubby has taken the train to Braintree to see his grandma, so I'm alone!! Peace at last!

I saw a lovely bed set in a leaflet I got recently, so I am going to order 2 duvet cover sets, plus curtains to match, in a burgandy colour.  Hubby says I need to clear out my corner of the bedroom, if I am going to spruce up the soft furnishings.  So I am going to try and throw out some stuff this afternoon.  I am a horder.  I have a box full of PS1 magazines, I think it is time they were thrown out.  There is alsorts of other paperwork that I must try to throw out, but we get so much stuff from the schools, that looks like we need to keep it.  I must be ruthless!!!  This house is too small, but we will not be moving, so I have to clearout anything unnessesary.

    Happy Birthday Grant.

I hope you have a lovely day, that you get some of the solitude that you crave, and you enjoy many more healthy, happy years to come.

Love and hugs. to you. xx

Friday - for want of a better title

When I was shopping yesterday I saw a new range of clothes in a local shop, clothes for men, there were some lovely shirts, but they didn't have hubby's size.  Also although I knew which one I liked, I wasn't so sure he would like the skulls on it, so I hope to take him into town today and show him.

There was a lovely long sleeve t-shirt in blue and black too, really nice colours, it made me think it would look nice on someone else I know, but it probably isn't appropriate for me to buy it for him...

I'm just about to take the dog for a walk and post a cheque off. (Sounds like a Russian, *laughs*) I'm in a silly mood today.

I might actually have a dancing lesson tonight!  I haven't been since before Christmas, I will probably have forgotten all my routines, and not be ready for the exams in a couple of months.  Part of me can't be bothered to go anymore, but the other part of me loves to dance, and since hubby doesn't (dance) then this is my only outlet.

I need a coffee, and hubby will be getting up, oh oh, I hear him coming now, I've been caught on line again..lol.  (Just had a sarcastic comment from him...I'd better log off)

    Bye for now.

    Thirsty Thursday

I started off today by over sleeping.  Not a good start, and it isn't something I often do, but when I do do it, it is usually spectacularly late.  For instance, when I was working in Local Governement, when I was first married (84), hubby used to set the alarm early for himself, and then reset it for me when he left for work.  One day he forgot to reset it, and I didn't wake up until 10am, I was due into work at 8.30am!  So I rang them and told them what had happened, and called for a taxi and got into work as soon as I was able.  Why I didn't phone in sick, I will never know...it didn't even cross my mind, as far as I can recall.

Anyway, so this morning I woke at 7.55am instead of 7.00am.  I woke my daughter, and told her I would drive her in to school, so she wouldn't be late.  Then I came back and took my son to school.

I came home and got some odd jobs done. I was going to Braintree, so hubby gave me some errands to run while I was there.

We decided it would be nice to take advantage of having the house to ourselves...we made love...*giggles*, third time in four days, there are compensations to having him at home during the day.

I went to Braintree and took hubby's grandma to do her shopping.  She is great company, we can talk about almost anything, she is non judgmental, and I love her.  We had lunch at a lovely coffee house, I had jacket potato with cajun chicken and dill mayonaise, and a lovely coffee with Amerreto syrup mmmmm.

Having taken grandma's shopping home and helping her put it away, we sat and talked some more, it was starting to get dark by the time I left at about 5pm.  A very enjoyable time. :)

I came home, and cooked tea for the hubby and the kids, (pizza, by request) and they had a lovely dessert of pancakes (I cheated, I bought these mini pancakes, with chocolate sauce) but I served them with some soft fruits.  I just ate a few raspberries.

I then came on line, and a message pops up that Norton's discovered the virus MyDoom on my computer.  It didn't say it had quarantined it, then I found an email had arrived saying Norton's had deleted an email because it contained a virus.  This was all very different to the way my Norton's usually deals with viruses, so to be on the safe side, I did a full scan of the computer, and nothing was found.  So I haven't got much done on here this evening, because while the scan is running, everything else works very slowly.  So I wasn't really able to chat to Neil tonight (sorry Neil).

I was astounded to find this very blog (my blog), mentioned and linked to in another blog!  Here I sit droning on about my ordinary life, and it seems that what I say, gets other people thinking! Amazing.

I guess you must find something interesting here, if you keep coming back.  Thanks for reading this, I do read yours too, but I haven't felt confident enough to leave any messages, although I just might comment today after what I just read over there.

Now I wonder just how many people (who I didn't actually give a link to this place) read my blog.  So, if you regularly come here and have never commented or whatever...just drop a line on my tag board ok?  I'm curoius. *laughs*.

Gosh I have rambled on a lot today. I wonder what tomorrow will bring? :)

    Goodnight.

    Later on...

I went to Safeway's after work.  I spent over £100, but I got some bargains.  Lots of buy one get one free offers. (or BOGOF's lol)  They had a lot of soft fruit reduced to clear, my son loves strawberries, I just gave hubby a bowls of strawberries, blackberries and raspberries, and I sat here eating raspberries, mmmm yummy.

4.40pm we went to the Junior school for parents evening, they are very pleased with our son's progress these last couple of weeks.  He is learning to control his temper, and stay away from those who like to annoy him.  His work has therefore improved, because he is spending more time in class, working calmly.  I just wish we knew what sparks these periods of bad behaviour in him.

We then went on to see the nurse, hubby had his dressings changed, which of course, disturbed the wounds, and the one at his ankle is seeping again.

He went to football coaching tonight, he was only supposed to watch, but he did too much and he came back in some pain.  Silly man.

I just saw the news and weather.  More rain is expected, and floods are in Wales and other areas.

It was nice seeing a friendly face tonight. :)

    Talk to Me!

    Midweek

I am only working until 1pm today.  Then I have to go and get some groceries, with hubby at home we are getting through milk and bread like it is going out of fashion.

I got to bed a little bit earlier last night.  I really should try to get more sleep, I'm just hooked on this PC, my "other life", my on line friends, I get edgy if I can't get on line, sad..very sad.

Not much else to say right now, I'd better get going.

    Later the same day...

It was a busy day at work, they brought out some work and told us it had to go out this afternoon.  We got it done.  Just in time.  But it's not fair when they do that to us.

I left right after we had finished, just after 2pm.  Came home and had a nice hot bath and washed my hair.

Hubby and son went to Colchester United football, so I took my daughter out to eat, which made a nice change, it was only Wimpy, nothing special.

I have been trying to buy "Hey Ya!" by Outkast  but it is always sold out, but we found a compilation of hits on a CD which included Outkast, so I bought it.

Came home played the CD, then afterwards watched a DVD, but it was crap.  Daughter has just gone to bed, so I have a little time to myself before hubby and son come home.

    Snow drops

I noticed snow drops in my tiny front garden this morning, it makes me think of spring.  I love spring.

I had some time alone with my husband yesterday afternoon.  That doesn't happen too often these days, so we made the most of it. ;)  Sometimes it just feels so good.  Why didn't I feel like this years ago?  I  feel that I wasted so much time.  Still, better late than never.

The temperature is much milder today, I feel the need to open some windows and air out the house.

My day out next week, has been postponed a week or so, I hope it still happens, although part of me thinks I am too old and too stupid to be doing this.  What will people think when they see us together?  Does it really matter what people think?  As long as we enjoy ourselves, shared interests etc.  Does he really want to go?  Am I kidding myself that he actually wants to spend time with me? My head fills with questions when I start to have doubts.

My daughter forgot something she needed for her art exam, so I had to drive down to the school with it, then I dropped off my son at school, and I walked the dog.  So now all I have to do it take a cup of coffee up to hubby and go to work.

If anyone is interested...here is a link to a picture of my family, it won't be here forever, this image host will be closing soon.

I'm off to work. Bye for now.

    Monday morning and it's raining

I didn't want to get up this morning, lying warm and cosy with my husband.  He is not normally here when I wake on a weekday.  I have to go to work, and he is recovering from his operation, so he can sleep in.  Still...I can spend some quality time with him when I get home, and before the children get home from school. *wiggles eyebrows suggestively*.

I just saw my daughter off to school, it is very wet out there, and still raining.  She has exams today and is not looking forward to it at all.  She left her mobile phone at home, rather than have to hand it in at school.

I've been arranging a day trip for next week.  I am looking forward to it very much, but also a little nervous.  By the time I'm on the train I'll be even more nervous, even though I know there is nothing to be nervous about, I'm silly I know.  It's kind of...nervous excitement.

I must get ready for work....

    Until next time.
