    Thirsty Thursday

I started off today by over sleeping.  Not a good start, and it isn't something I often do, but when I do do it, it is usually spectacularly late.  For instance, when I was working in Local Governement, when I was first married (84), hubby used to set the alarm early for himself, and then reset it for me when he left for work.  One day he forgot to reset it, and I didn't wake up until 10am, I was due into work at 8.30am!  So I rang them and told them what had happened, and called for a taxi and got into work as soon as I was able.  Why I didn't phone in sick, I will never know...it didn't even cross my mind, as far as I can recall.

Anyway, so this morning I woke at 7.55am instead of 7.00am.  I woke my daughter, and told her I would drive her in to school, so she wouldn't be late.  Then I came back and took my son to school.

I came home and got some odd jobs done. I was going to Braintree, so hubby gave me some errands to run while I was there.

We decided it would be nice to take advantage of having the house to ourselves...we made love...*giggles*, third time in four days, there are compensations to having him at home during the day.

I went to Braintree and took hubby's grandma to do her shopping.  She is great company, we can talk about almost anything, she is non judgmental, and I love her.  We had lunch at a lovely coffee house, I had jacket potato with cajun chicken and dill mayonaise, and a lovely coffee with Amerreto syrup mmmmm.

Having taken grandma's shopping home and helping her put it away, we sat and talked some more, it was starting to get dark by the time I left at about 5pm.  A very enjoyable time. :)

I came home, and cooked tea for the hubby and the kids, (pizza, by request) and they had a lovely dessert of pancakes (I cheated, I bought these mini pancakes, with chocolate sauce) but I served them with some soft fruits.  I just ate a few raspberries.

I then came on line, and a message pops up that Norton's discovered the virus MyDoom on my computer.  It didn't say it had quarantined it, then I found an email had arrived saying Norton's had deleted an email because it contained a virus.  This was all very different to the way my Norton's usually deals with viruses, so to be on the safe side, I did a full scan of the computer, and nothing was found.  So I haven't got much done on here this evening, because while the scan is running, everything else works very slowly.  So I wasn't really able to chat to Neil tonight (sorry Neil).

I was astounded to find this very blog (my blog), mentioned and linked to in another blog!  Here I sit droning on about my ordinary life, and it seems that what I say, gets other people thinking! Amazing.

I guess you must find something interesting here, if you keep coming back.  Thanks for reading this, I do read yours too, but I haven't felt confident enough to leave any messages, although I just might comment today after what I just read over there.

Now I wonder just how many people (who I didn't actually give a link to this place) read my blog.  So, if you regularly come here and have never commented or whatever...just drop a line on my tag board ok?  I'm curoius. *laughs*.

Gosh I have rambled on a lot today. I wonder what tomorrow will bring? :)

    Goodnight.

Wow, what a day you had! I hope you didn't mind the link ... It's quite true that we are rarely aware of the full impact we have on each others' lives. One never knows what seemingly random comment or event will help another. We're all interconnected, in a way. I think that's comforting.
